Zürich und Köln erhalten neuen Nachtzug

Vor einer Woche hat das niederländisch-belgische Nachtzugunternehmen European Sleeper neue Details zur geplanten Nachtzugroute von Brüssel nach Mailand bekanntgegeben. Der Zug verkehrt nicht wie ursprünglich geplant via Simplon sondern via Göschenen auf der alten Gotthardstrecke. Damit erhält Zürich eine weitere Anbindung ans europäische Nacht-Netz. Das dürfte den Leuten hinter der Studie «Nachtsprung 2040», die wir euch wärmstens ans Herz legen, Freude bereiten. Denn nun gibt es bereits zwei direkte Verbindungen in die europäische Hauptstadt Brüssel – neben der bestehenden Nachtbus-Linie von Twiliner. Interessant ist der Zug übrigens auch für Köln: Dort hält er um 22 Uhr abends. Künftig haben die Menschen dort für eine Reise nach Zürich die Wahl zwischen diesem Angebot und dem bestehenden Nightjet NJ 403 der ÖBB. Ab 2027 soll auch noch eine Option von und zu Amsterdam dazu kommen. 

Wenn es nur eine Plattform gäbe, auf der man diese Optionen-Vielfalt superschnell und praktisch vergleichen könnte... 😜

Zürich and Cologne get a new night train

A week ago, the Dutch-Belgian night train company European Sleeper announced new details about its planned night train route from Brussels to Milan. The train will not run via the Simplon route as originally planned, but via Göschenen on the old Gotthard line, which gives Zürich another connection to the European night network. This should please the people behind the “Nachtsprung 2040” study, which we warmly recommend, because there are now two direct connections to the European capital, Brussels – alongside the existing night bus line from Twiliner. The train is also interesting for Cologne, by the way: it stops there at 10 p.m. In the future, people there will thus have the choice between this service and the existing Nightjet NJ 403 from ÖBB for a trip to Zürich. From 2027, an option to and from Amsterdam is also set to be added. 

If only there were a platform where you could compare this variety of options super quickly and easily... 😜

Le train ne circulera pas via le Simplon comme prévu initialement, mais via Göschenen sur l'ancienne ligne du Gothard. Zurich bénéficie ainsi d'une nouvelle connexion au réseau nocturne européen. Cela devrait réjouir les auteurs de l'étude « Nachtsprung 2040 » (en allemand), que l'on te recommande chaudement. Car il existe désormais deux liaisons directes vers la capitale européenne, Bruxelles – en plus de la ligne de bus de nuit existante de Twiliner. Le train est également intéressant pour Cologne : il s'y arrêtera à 22 heures. À l'avenir, pour un voyage à Zurich, les habitants de Cologne auront le choix entre cette nouvelle option et le Nightjet NJ 403 de l'ÖBB déjà existant. À partir de 2027, une option depuis et vers Amsterdam devrait également s'ajouter.
